In addition to her professional credibitlity, Cara has an incredible personal view of the joys and struggles of motherhood. She gets candid about how motherhood "slapped her in the face" and shares poignant advice shes used along the way.

We discuss:

  • Breastfeeding: the pressure around it and her personal journey with it
  • The intersection of her own motherhood experience and her work as an SLP
  • Red flags or symptoms to look for in language and feeding delays
  • Screen time: when it’s helpful and when it’s hindering
  • Comparison on social media when it comes to kids
  • Tips that encourage learning through play
  • Introducing solids and Baby Led Weaning
  • Grieving expectations around motherhood that didn’t come to fruition
